The main purpose of the Moonlight Engine is to be a general 2D game engine geared towards tile-based games, and RPGs specifically. It is mainly written by Bjørn Lindeijer and facilitated the production of several games for RPGDX competition entries.
Game releases based on this engine:
In 2005, the engine was improved under the name RAGE in cooperation with Ramine Darabiha, who started an initiative to make the engine usable by non-programmers.
As of February 2007, the current engine is being prepared for use in the game On a dark Sunday as part of Lilith's Enticement, a new competition running at RPGDX.
